Ethical communication practices are the foundation of building and sustaining ethical community. But we’re not born with the knowledge of how to communicate ethically, and much of the larger culture around us teaches us to judge, to compete for “air time,” to use communication to impress or convince others.
In Commitment Circles, we’ll learn how to more effectively practice “ethical communication” -- that communication which is most likely to elicit mutual understanding, honor the worth of every individual, and build authentic ethical community. It’s a skill which is useful beyond the Commitment Circle, in other important relationships at home, at work, in other organizations, and in our neighborhoods.
