ETHICAL CULTURE OFFICIANTS COORDINATOR Definition

This is intended as a guide for NoVES committees, teams, and task forces. In most cases it refers to skills and responsibilities of the committee as a whole, not of individuals.

 Skills needed: The coordinator must be a certified Ethical Culture Officiant. (See requirements)
Strong organizational skills.
Prompt communicator.
Has good interpersonal skills.
Not necessary, but highly recommended: familiarity with wedding cultures and traditions; knowledge of wedding venues throughout the area.
 Responsibilities: Check e-mails at least once per day, answer inquiries as soon as possible.
Check wedding line once or twice per week, return calls promptly.
contact officiants immediately via e-mail if couple is interested in having an Ethical Culture officiant perform their service.
Follow up with officiant to see if wedding will take place.
Send out monthly officiant newsletter.
Inform Leader promptly of problems with officiants.
Deal with initial complaints from couples regarding officiants and follow up appropriately.
Send out donation letters, follow up with treasurer or officiant if not receiving information
 Member Term: No term limits.
 Measurement of Success: Wedding referrals.
