- Groups of 6-10 members meet once per month for two hours in a member's home (or other comfortable and convenient location if the group chooses).
- The meeting structure includes check-in, opening readings, a topic, a check-out, and closing readings. Each meeting, members also pay attention to ethical communication (see page 4).
- Groups begin each year in October with, as much as possible, a mix of new members and experienced members.
- New members can be added to groups through the year if the groups have fewer than 10 members.
- Each group has a facilitator or two co-facilitators, to help keep the group organized and on track.
- For year one (2006-2007), Jone Lewis, NoVES Leader, will facilitate the initial 2 to 4 groups (number depends on interest)
- In subsequent years, group facilitators will be selected from among those who've been members of groups. Facilitators will have a monthly meeting with each other and the Leader to support the facilitators, and through them the groups; to keep a relatively-consistent common culture among the Commitment Circles; to keep the groups connected to the Society; and to help NoVES improve the program by learning from experience.
- Eventually, we'll build a team to support the Commitment Circle program from those who've participated actively.
