Public Policy PositionsThe Society has adopted positions onthe a number of public policy issues, since the Society's founding in 1983. When we take positions as a community on public issues, we require more than a mere majority endorsement of such positions, take them only when a large percentage of our members feel strongly about the issue, and do not require members to agree.
